šŸˆ Crimson Tide stepping up to try to keep Kirby Smart in Tuscaloosa

Good for him. I live in Ga (have 2 daughters in school at UGA and 2 boys in Tuscaloosa) and know that he's walking to a real mess at UGA. I hope he survives it. The bottom line is that Kirby runs the Saban defense, not the other way around. As long as we keep CNS then I am confident that he will reload assistants just like he always has. It's the PROCESS!

The situation at UGA is the opposite of a mess. They have a world of defensive talent that has badly underachieved due to poor coaching. This job is a Gold Mine! Any half-way competent coach will be able to improve that defense, look like a genius, and be on the fast track to a head coaching gig. That is exactly why he is making this move. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

As far as replacements go, how is Jon Tenuta still unemployed? That looks like a perfect fit to me, except for the fact that he used to run the 4-3. He was a DBs coach, he coached at Tech so he should have the Atlanta recruiting ties, and he is a great DC. Just my opinion.

I thought of Tenuta as well but I kinda wishy-washy on him b/c of the poor job he did at Notre Dame.

Tenuta's problem may have been Weis wouldn't get any defensive recruits for him to mold. Weis was all about the offense and his teams showed it each and every game. It looks alot like how the Barn is recruiting to me.
