It means his YPG divided by the number of pass routes he ran. So if he runs 40 routes in a game and gets 200 yards in the game, no matter how many catches, he then averages 5 yards per route.

Henry would've been the first back this year to rush for 100 yards vs the Colts had it not been for Blaine Gabbert interception at the 8 minute mark that forced the Titans to throw the ball after that.
