@TUSKstuff, I love the blocked kick video. Our daughter had pneumonia and we were in her hospital room watching that game. When Rayam blocked that kick we jumped up and yelled. Hearing the commotion, several nurses rushed in the room to see what was wrong. 3 of them were Bama fans and when we explained what happened, they yelled too.

A great ending for all Tide fans, that's for sure. Paterno just couldn't finish against the Tide. The "75" game he couldn't get a 4th and 1 late and lost. In "79" the famous goal line stands for the natty. This time on the half yard line all they needed was 3. Still, Bama broke their heart. Curry had his issues but he never lost to Penn State. Now, if we just hadn't got cheated out of the greatest comeback in the series in "83."

Thomas Rayam and his family live here in Alabaster. His three kids are all really good athletes, but more importantly, they are three really good kids!

Bob Baumhower. In the mid 70's we happened to be at a game that Bob attended as a recruit (believe it was Mississippi State). After the game, fans were mingling around the dressing room exit greeting the players and coaches as they left. When Coach Bryant came out, Baumhower was walking beside him. Out of nowhere a State fan ran up behind Coach Bryant, grabbed his hat and tried to escape with it. Baumhower ran him down, tackled him, retrieved the hat and gave it back to Coach Bryant. I remember the smile to this day Coach Bryant had as he shook Baumhower's hand.
