What I recall from that Liberty Bowl was a very cocky Terry Donahue, UCLA coach who came into this game ranked in the top 10 and a favorite against the Tide. During one of the festivities, each team's seats were designated with a sign. When the UCLA team came in they took Bama's seats. Coach Bryant took note and so did the team. Bama spanked UCLA's butt good 36-6. Donahue said later that Alabama put an old fashion country whipping on him. He also learned something about seating etiquette, don't poke the Bear.
