Former Alabama and New England Patriots great John Hannah is in Israel, and Jerusalem, with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and 18 other NFL Hall of Famers, according to the Crimson Tide football program's official Twitter account.
A former offensive guard and tackle under head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant, Hannah was a three-time All-American (a consensus selection in 1972, his senior season) and was named to the University of Alabama's All-Century Team.
And while in the Middle East, Hannah spotted items, places and people that remind him of his playing days in Tuscaloosa.
Below are a couple of photos of Hannah in the eastern country -- one of him standing in front of an Alabama-themed store.
I was going to include a clip from the football game in M*A*S*H, but the Nazis at FOX won't let youtube show any of it. If you know this great movie, then surely you remember "69 is divine! 69 is divine!" They were wearing Alabama colors. (shrug!)
