PLEASE YES!!! I'll pay 10,000 dollars to see Alabama destroy that college. Bunch of self-centered egotistical pricks. Nothing I would love more than to see Alabama shove these guys to the ground.

I wish we could play them at their place and straight take over The Coliseum. I would love nothing more than to bring southern football to the west coast and show those pricks how it really works. Bow ties, button downs, slacks, bourbon, and sundresses against t-shirts, shorts, fruity drinks, and bathing suits. We'd destroy them on and off the field.

What's the deal with some of us Bama fans and what people wear to games? I fear we're heading towards a Bill Curry and sweater conversation!! :tap:

Scratching my head on the tshirts/shorts comments...I wear tshirts and shorts to work frequently (and flip flops) in the middle of summer.

Seconded, sans the flip-flops—Rockport Rocksports! Hell, even Nike makes a good pair of sandals.

OH geez...:hijack:

Back to the subject. Pleased to hear of these discussions inasmuch the reason Bama is playing in Atlanta this year and played there last year is because LK chickened (pun intended) out on a tentative agreement to play in the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Classic in either 2013 or 2014 (their choice). USC's (read Pete Carroll"s) preferred choice of opponents was Bama, therefore the Atlanta Sports Council was in negotiations with Bama for both years, not knowing which year USC would choose. All of that went out the window when PC left and LK came in. Bama wound up being contracted for both years.

I've never seen a group of people take things so literal. I was simply implying southern football against west coast football. Most students dress up for the games at all SEC schools. That doesn't mean I find it unacceptable to wear what you wear, but I prefer to have a collar and some slacks. The heat doesn't bother me. Most of us grew up playing ball in 100 degree temperatures with out of this world humidity. So wearing pants doesn't bother me. Looking at a girl in a sundress is much more appealing than one in cheerleading shorts and a t-shirt. My preference and opinion. Football means a lot to me, I like to look nice, and it's a southern thing to look nice at events. Y'all don't have to cry about my statement, just more or less generalizing their style versus ours.

Clearly you meant it literally based on this reply ;)

When I first started going to games it was suit, dress shirt and tie, no matter how hot. (Rumor has it that suit coats made it easier to sneak in a flask.) I don't go much anymore, but if I were to be in BDS in September in 2014 I would dress for comfort.

Alright, well anyways, I hope this is going to happen. Its two powerhouse programs, big recruits will be there and nothing would be better than for Alabama to smash a power house program like USC in Jerry's Dome. It looks good for Alabama's resume', it improves our record over U$C, and it will be good for tv.

Now looking at it, think of how many times Alabama will be playing in Jerry's World if they get to the national title. Wisconsin in '15, title game, then USC in '16. Start to build a fan base down in Arlington, more alumni may want to move out there. Taking over the world one step at a time :bird:

I think I can speak for @planomateo, but I know in my case my comments was purely sarcastic.

There's a reason I went a looked for this smilie recently...it was greatly needed in this thread.

:sarc:

FWIW, most students I've seen don't dress up for football games. The term "most students" doesn't include the Greek community—in many ways; literally.

Just a thought here...

Do adults on the West Coast wear jersey's to games? If not, +1 to West Coast football! :naughtydevil:
