🏈 Corso Picks

can't say i'm not confused as to why Katy Perry was there to make a pick. she didn't go to either school and had probably never been in either Alabama or Mississippi until today. she has no allegiance to either school and she made picks based on colors or the cuteness of the quarterback.

could they not have gotten Archie Manning? i would much rather have seen him up there to pick Ole Miss than someone who had never been to a tailgate or football game until then.

I don't listen to pop music, so I really don't know what the fuss is about Katy Perry, but after listening and watching her on Gameday, now I really don't know what the big deal is. Note to ESPN: Don't let Herbstreit bring his girl back onto Gameday. She's an idiot; is she supposed to be really talented?

I need a Seether fix.

Game Day guest picker, is now at the bottom of the barrel. Thank goodness I don't have cable anymore. I read about Perry and thrown up a little in my mouth. But, I will tell you this I'm glad she picks Ole Miss.

I either heard, or read, that his position on the committee was a conflict of interest.

in my opinion, that is total bs (not what you said, but his position on the committee being a conflict of interest).

committee members have to leave the room when the discussion turns to teams with which they are affiliated. and this would have nothing to do with the playoffs anyway. it's the 5th game of the season for both teams, not even halfway through the schedule.

I'll check tomorrow night and see if that article/interview is in my history at work. I'm not going to go through the trouble of trying to find ing it from home, ya know?

One thing to note as I understand this...you mention, "...committee members have to leave the room when the discussion turns to teams with which they are affiliated..."

The issue isn't Archie discussing Ole Miss at GameDay, it's Archie talking about the other teams besides Ole Miss publicly. When the committee meets, Archie won't be allowed to discuss Ole Miss but his evaluation will be on teams other than the BB's.

No doubt, odd. In their interest of appearance I can see this choice being made but it does seem to be an error on the side of caution.
