📡 Cool story - Junior Bridgeman

Talk about a mental picture here...

To prepare for life after basketball, Bridgeman spent his offseason working the drive-through at a local Wendy’s to learn more about the fast food business.

Takes big mental chops to own that manu restaurants and still profit.
Takes big money to open a few Wendy's. Just one, franchised, requires a person to be liquid (to the tune of around 2 million) and have a net worth of 5 million. Just like any restaurant it's all dependant on location and with their marketing they expect any location (hospital, strip mall, free standing) to do well.

I've watched Wendy's closely for years now (father was in the franchise business before going into Applebees.) I recall seeing their reports from 2019 where they'd closed about 100 units out of over 5200. It's a pretty safe bet considering the fail rate that year was @ .019%.
