If you hadn't stepped up we wouldnt have been able to win I dont think.

Tech was hard on the run till you proved you could go deep, and that we had other recievers apart from Julio.

You were accurate most of the night, You were antsy at first, but you grew before my eyes as the game went on.

Guys, we have a QB!

I feel confident in GMAC. And yes I'd say he showed a little potential tonight. Once he settled the passes became much more accurate.

But IMO the D and ST kept us in this game tonight moreso than anyone else on the team.

Congrats to all of the Tide!! RTR

When GMac was struggling early I wasn't too worried because I thought it was clear that he just needed to settle into the starting role. I was just praying that he wouldn't do anything to put the game further out of reach like throwing a pick-6. I think he'll end up being a very good QB sooner rather than later.

All of you doubters need to take a moment & realize who he played against for his first start. It wasn't Western Kentucky or Charleston State, VT is the real deal on D. The lead changed, what 6 times?, & he kept the offense moving.
Right on. He got his first start again a great team. V Tech was No#7 not one that was paid to come to get a pay check.

He was clutch on third down in the second half many times.

Those two deep throws, one Darius made a great play on, the other Maze wouldve had 6 if not for a loss of balance.

The TD pass to Ingram was perfect, thats why he wass able to get up field so fast. I credit Ingram for making the catch, but I also credit McElroy for creating the opportunity.

He leads a fourth quarter comeback, and he led a team that was facing alot of adversity to a win his very first college start against a top-ten team.

10 bucks says if JPW is in his position, he tries to force a throw annd it gets picked off. JPW was a gamemanager only, but McElroy is a play maker.

And some might argue the Arkansas comeback, but really he just threw a jump ball and Caddell happened to catch it.

JPW was not bad at Alabama by any stretch, but Gmac will be better.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like nothing more than for him to throw 250 touchdowns. I just let all his HS stats and such make me think he Colt McCoy was coming out and it was more of the same. With that said, I never had any issue with JPW so when I say hey played as well as him that's a compliment.

Our defense did keep us in the game, but they also cost us points. Ro cost us 30 yards worth of penalties by himself. Va Tech wouldn't have had most of those points they had had our defense not gotten a late hit penalty, pass interference, and then Ro's grand 30 yards worth of b.s.

GMAC is going to be great!! This wasn't no cupcake team just there to get a check. And Gmac lead us after our defense put us in different holes.

I am very happy that Gmac is our Bama quarterback. I don't see Darrah or Star could lead us the way Gmac did.

I agree. I think GMAC did a fine job!

had a rough start against a very good def. He got more comfortable as the game went on, now he has a couple of easier games to build on and by the time we get to arkansas he will be in full stride and be comfortable and confident.

I think having a tough def to go up against is gonna be the best thing to help him and the team. we wont see a better def. until the sec championship.
