Ohio State going after the Little 10 raised such a fuss previously really gets me pissed. Ohio State should be left out just because of the previous whining.

The thing that pisses me off most is that if Clemson lost they would have put Ohio State and Michigan in, both of whom were not winners of their division. Maybe an argument could be made if Penn State also made it but definitely not if you exclude them. I fell there is no argument for Ohio State OR Michigan if you exclude their conference champion.
Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Penn State/Washington.
Penn State's opponents have better records than Washington. Washington lost to USC, Penn State lost to Pitt/Michigan. Ohio State was sitting at home today. Do they ding Washington for their opponents record or do they punish Ohio State for not winning their conference.
Alabama 93-62
Ohio St 85-59
Clemson 93-62
Penn St 91-64
Oklahoma 76-60
Washington 77-78
If this happens, Pac-12 fans meltdown will be epic. Last year it was McCaffrey for Heisman, this year it's Washington in the playoffs. In defense of Washington, they do play 9 conference games and they did play Rutgers.
As long as Bama is in. Who care whom the other teams are? Bama, Clemson, Washington, tOS, Penn St,. I heard someone in the committee try to get it only for the Conf. winners. But that fell to get the right votes.
On one hand I remember just a few years ago, the two best college football teams were both in the sec west. on the other hand, if conference championships don't mean much, why even have them? Is it time to go to a 10-11 game season, and go to a 8 team playoff?
Conference Championships should be the first round of the playoffs. P5 + 3 wild cards. Or, better yet, cut down to 6 conferences of 16 teams and then those champions plus 2 wild card.
