🏈 Conerbacks still look terrible...

39 attempts at 5.8 ypa for 228 yards. Dinking and dunking all night. We didn't have blown coverages with guys roaming free. We were tardy a few times getting our head around but the PI calls were straight up BULLSHIT!! I can see Saban making a call to the director of officials and this crew get reprimanded and possibly suspended.

I saw overall improvement but growing pains from some. We needed a little more adjustment on the short passes, zone clearly wasn't working well and the LBs were ate up a little.

That front 7 can be filthy, especially in the 2nd half. They're the key to a more successful secondary.

Seems easier to teach our guys to turn their head around than politicking to persuade dozens of officials to change their discretion

Threw at Cyrus twice once was the tight end across the field the other was sideline pass incomplete. Most of the time was across middle between safeties and linebackers with running backs and tight ends. A few completions at Humphrey and Mincah

The announcers alluded to it tonight, but we've been really bad on 3d and longs in recent history. In fact, one of the worst in the nation last year. That's a tragedy when you think about how much talent is on that side of the ball and what they are capable of.

I think it's a combination of the soft mush rush and zone defenses with huge windows... Super frustrating to allow those long third down conversions. Back in the day Kirby would bring a blitz constantly on third downs... Used to be really intimidating. Amazing how much that has changed

I miss Javy

Outside of that late INT it seemed like Eddie Jackson was out of place at times. As for the young bucks, they'll get better, I sure CNS and CMT will keep preaching to them about turning their heads around when defending the pass
