šŸ“” Comparing Alabama's Mac Jones to Kyle Trask, Trevor Lawrence and other Heisman Trophy hopeful QBs- Tidesports

I have been doing a little Heisman reading lately just to get a feel for who these media types think has a lead heading into Championship weekend in a couple of weeks. @TerryP has expressed how Mike Farrell at Rivals is just a poor sport when it comes to Alabama whenever he can try and take recognition from the program. Here is another example of that. I refuse to sign up for Twitter, but I wish someone here would destroy him over Twitter on his comments. To me it's a situation, muchlike the presidential election, where just because he posts it, so many will believe it without researching it. For one, Trask and Jones have the same amount of interceptions. Two, Jones is more efficient with higher completion percentage, yards per attempt, QB rating etc. He is correct that Najee and Davonta may take a few votes away, but considering Mac has 130 less yards, and could erase that with ten more completions per the math, Trask has not really exceeded any kind of barrier that Mac hasn't either, especially with 67 more attempts. Najee has syphoned off 20 touchdowns from Mac and the passing attack, and some long runs at that, whereas the Gator offense has mustered six if my research is correct. All in all, someone do me a favor, and Mac a favor and light Farrell up over this.

Trask reminds me of Burrow...great vision..cool in pocket...accurate...
Great receivers...no doubt...he is a very good choice...
And seems like a great guy...good leafer as best we know...
Mac is as much of all that also...
Bama-florida...sec championship....
Will decide sec championship...and heisman....decide it
On the field

Farrell with a normal "hot take" on anything BAMA related! Trask has 130 more passing yards on what amounts to a 37-67 day. UF has 6 rushing TDs on the season as compared to BAMA's 27!!!! Heisman turned in to a beauty political beauty contest years ago!!!

I don't think 25 TD passes within the red zone is a knock on Trask considering he's working within a much tighter area.

I think it's more of the fact Mac isn't getting short yardage chances and that Najee is. Trask is forced to throw and that's what separates that one glaring variance between the two. I don't think anyone is talking down about Trask. Him and Pitts are the reason for Florida's season.

This exactly. Comparison just on RedZone.

Mac - 23 of 30 (76.7 %) for 11 TD.

Trask - 38 of 56 (67.9 %) for 25 TD.

I suspect were Mac to throw 56 times in the RedZone he would be around 22-25 TD also

I do not dislike Kyle Trask other than the fact he is a gator and plays for a squinty eyed hunchback scientologist

If Trask wins the heisman I really don’t have a problem with it. Sure I would love for Mac to win it for the same reason I wanna see my grandson take the handoff and level your grandson coming thru the 4 hole. But if your grand lays wood and slobber knocks mine I ain’t gonna be pissed

I just listen to a guy that is a writer for the B1G. He said that Field and Baby Boy were the top two!

really..fields..in 5 games...compared to 9 and vs all sec opponents...
I would have ND QB ahead of him

Sunshine....well...he is damn awesome......and he has had been covid-ed....some...
Mac...sunshine...and trask....got big game to put their name at top...let best QB win
