Did any of you hear what Miles had to say after their game last night? I would normally have never listened, but I was driving back to ATL after the game last night and trying to stay awake. You know how it is at night. The only stations that had any kind of sports were a.m. stations, and you know how that is. I couldn't pick up anything from ATL but could pick up the LSU game and some Cleveland station clear as day.

Anyway, Miles spent very little time talking about their game with Tulane before throwing in words about "our next opponent". The announcer was asking something along the lines if he was disappointed with the production on offense and defense last night. Without much attention to how LSU handled Tulane Miles started talking about how "our future opponent" did vs. Tulane. He stated the score was 20-6 and only because of 2 special teams TD's.

He then went on to rattle off their rushing stats vs. ours vs. Tulane and their D stats vs. ours against Tulane as well. Hmmmm, maybe this is the way he handles things, but if he's all about comparing stats and trying to make it all look even then I'm less nervous about next Sat. than I thought I'd be.

Could you imagine Saban answering a question like that?! I just hope there is a big bulletin board that is full this week with all his "comments" about Alabama. There was something said this summer about us not being able to beat any team from Louisiana and then of course the f-in Bama comment.

I'm ready for Alabama to give him a little crow to eat. It's time!

Les' pc's are great. He doesnt care what you think and sometimes comes off as a prick. He gets agitated with stupid questions and is a fiery guy.

Sound familiar?

Coach Miles talked plenty about the game in the interview, and especially highlighted the numerous mistakes made by the tigers and if we continued to do that we couldn't win the big games. When asked about how much better the tigers need to play to win the next game, he replied that he couldn't give a percentage but we need to correct the mistakes where we are shooting ourselves in the foot. We all know that press conferences are driven by the questions the media asks. Coach Saban just didn't answer most of the questions that would allow the next opponent to be fueled by his response. Miles tends to speak his mind. His answers do tend to sound arrogant, but again that is widely determined by the media broadcasting the interview. I will say that I welcome Miles' approach in openness to the media rather than denying that he is taking all of the hype into consideration. in the official postgame conference, miles never discussed what their future opponent did against Tulane. Here is the link to the official interview,

of course let me save you the boredom of listening to it. What you're saying is simply not true. I look forward to the game ahead of us, and hope that we can hang! Either way..........GAME ON!

Thanks for sharing Delta. 870 AM is the station I listen to when I am out of range of civilization late at night. They actually have a good sports program. One thing I enjoyed hearing was their fans...both Saints/LSU.

Anyways......I'll be more interested in Miles comments after this weeks "opponent". Who knows....maybe we will be F N Alabama?

From conversations with a well respected former Les Miles assistant, I can assure you...he really is arrogant...and he really is a moron.

Hey Sandra, any chance you will get to work the charter again? We were watchin Texas-Texas Tech and the slUTs and USCe so didn't listen to any of the corndogs.

ROLL TIDE

Hmmmm I know what I heard. I quit listening after "our future opponent's this and that vs. Tulane". The station faded when I got to ATL. I'm glad to see the entire post-game wasn't spent on our Tulane game. :)

Nope...I am taking November off therefore I won't be eligible. :(

I don't know if I could handle it anyway. I'd be dying not being able to watch this one. I'd be even more nervous than usual...I was bad enough for the Tennessee game. :D

Yes, but Les is not a smart man. He also is VERY intimidated by his 'next opponent'. It is pretty obvious when the man is so occupied with thoughts of Daddy Saban.

i swear, i can't listen to Miles speak for any length of time. drives me crazy how he's unable to finish a sentence without a pause.
