The BIGGEST whiner, cry baby I remember in the NBA, is non other than Shaq Oneal. Period
I respectively disagree. Shaq isn’t/wasn’t near the biggest cry baby damn near every player nowadays is ten times worse. Every damn time Lebron moves he’s whining and bitching to the refs

Give it a rest. He flops because it's rewarded. If it wasn't he would play on and kill the short short dudes just like he's killing the current dudes.

Like I said, the worst officiated league ever. Blame the flopping on the powers that be not the players, players are just taking advantage of a dumb ass system.

I never said Shaq was a flopper. He always looked like the biggest player on the court. In his early days in the league, he was still a raw and slow professional player. When a usually smaller defender played quicker, quality defense and stood their ground, Shaq would try to go to the basket for his shot, which usually sent the defender crashing to the floor or all the way off the court. With him being raw, he would lose his concentration and miss a lot of shots. In turn, he and some of his coaches complained to the refs that he was getting fouled on most every play, though it was usually him doing the fouling. A defender has every right to his position on the court. If you are standing your ground and a Mac truck turns and knocks you head long off the court and they call you for the foul, would that not piss you off? As time went on, defenders would absolutely foul him on purpose because he was a terrible foul shooter. No, Shaq was too big to be a flopper, but ass headed enough to be a complainer to get his way with the refs. That's my two cents, that's the way I saw it, and that kind of play was mostly responsible for me not giving horse shit about the NBA anymore.

If that was the case then players like Kyrie Irving would flop and he don’t. I agree it’s rewarded, but LeBron flops more than any player in the league

Harden the most... Even our big guy in Denver Jokic never stops flopping. Ultimately I think its what the environment created... You'd almost be foolish not to.

It's got a life in the game that goes back about as far as my viewing habits. Bill Laimbeer was a smart player that did everything possible to get an edge. He was rough and tough and the dude was an educated flopper. Reggie Miller was a smart player who flopped with the best of them, throw in some trash talking and a few extended legs as he shot and that was Miller. Did I mention he was a smart player? Chris Paul has used flopping as an art form and who can deny how savvy he is in every part of his game? Vlade Divac brought the European flop to Sacramento and the Lakers and no center did it better than Vlade. He too was a noted smart player and served as the King's general manager. And there are no better floppers than those who set up the flop with the precision of a cat burglar. That was John Stockton of the Jazz and Barron Davis. Two extremely wise players who used everything at their disposal to carve out an NBA career. Even noted flopper Vlade Divac was so impressed with Stockton's art form he called him simply "the best." Did I mention how smart these guys were?
