Congrats to Jake, this is probably pretty emotional for him. Went from not even being at Alabama like he wanted, to not even seeing the field when he did get here, to now earning his name into Crimson Tide history forever.

What a special honor for these guys, especially for Jake Coker. We all, including myself, threw doubts toward Jake's direction. I'm glad to see Jake win this job, win these fans, and win his teammates and coaches!

Good for them all, but can't say that I didn't wish Drake would get a vote. Seems like a strong leader in spite of injury. Certainly plays through the pain and leads by example on the field.

Special for Coker, he's dreamed of playing for Alabama all his life. To come to the Capstone and finally get a chance to start, and then leading them to the CFP and now having his name engraved in front of Denny Chimes forever, this will be something you know he will cherish forever. Proud of the work ethic and heart he brings to the field, he may not be the most amazing QB to grace the field and he frustrates me to all hell when he doesn't throw it away sometimes, but I do love his character and heart. Grats Jake and the rest of you guys.

Exactly how I feel.

He may not be the best statistical QB, but he's my favorite QB to ever play under Saban because of all the qualities you listed.
