The D played pretty well vs. A&M - Milroe's turnovers allowed A&M to score many of their points.
The turnovers gave A&M a short field especially on the first one. But the D still has to step up and hold them to 3. The 2nd turnover they still had to march 50 yards to score and they covered most of that on one pass play.

With all of that said I still believe the defense is and has been the strength of the team. Offensive inconsistency has been the problem. I thought it was a playing on the road issue until Saturday. Of course BY not being out there was a huge contributer to that.

True, they could've held up and allowed FGs. The momentum shifts wildly after turnovers like those, and it's the job of the D to take that momentum back. They didn't. And not excusing the D, but Jimbo treats the Alabama game like it's the only game that matters and has a better offensive plan for this game than any other. He used those opportunities to call some good plays and get TDs they needed.
