It's maybe a little early, but Grant's super awesome top 5 class was overrated and we have zero players committed for next year. The only remarklable player whose radar we are even on is Pollard and most believe he's headed to State.
A couple of points to ponder.
We are two months away from the first day a kid can sign. We have a total of ONE spot open at this point. Just how many commits do you want? I'd suggest waiting to you get to the edge of the precipice before trying to jump. Right now, you aren't doing anything but stomping your feet.
His last recruiting class is doing exactly what it was forecasted to do at this point.
Lacey, the highest ranked player of the group, is contributing this year. That's exactly what a 5* ranked player is supposed to be able to do. Contribute his first season.
Cooper, Gueye, Jacobs, and Randolph were all considered 4* prospects. They are supposed to contribute their second year in the program and they've been forced into action a year early. Are they inconsistent? Yes. Should they be? Yes.
You, at least as it seems to me, are too caught up in what happened last season. I understand, but I don't find myself in the boat, water, country, hemisphere...as you.
Est quid est.
Just as a last point: IF I were a coach facing the Tide I would do the same thing, defensively, as we've seen them do this year. Cut out the lanes for driving. As soon as that happens you take Green and Mitchell out of the picture. Neither are mentally mature enough to handle being shut out of a game plan. And that's just ONE area they aren't mature enough.
