🏈 Coach Curry on the Bert Show in ATL

On my way in this morning I heard Coach Curry on the local top-40 station. They mainly asked about how the program got started and how he became the head coach, etc. But then one of the morning show guys asked; "With all due respect Coach you scheduled ALABAMA in the first year, the defending National Champs!"

Coach responded, "We play Alabama?" then some chuckles. He went on to explain that a former assistant he had at UA is now a big wig in the AD at UA and GSU had sent letters to alot of the top programs. UA, UF, and UGA responded. Keep in mind this all happened two years ago and he said at the time Alabama was good, but not as dominate. UA called and said we have a game your first year and its the only open spot we have for 15 years.

So some more joking went on about how bad GSU is gonna get killed and he said when he called the GSU President to ask for permission the GSU President asked what was he going to say to the players in the locker room if they get slammed. Then Curry went into the speech about his first day of NFL camp when Ray Nitscke broke his face mask and nose and knocked him out on the first play. He relaized he was going to have to keep hitting him again and again and again until he got better.

Then one of the morning show said yea coach but you may be talking to these guys in the hospital.

I dont listen to it typically. It annoys me also. But before I could plug my iPod up and turn it on I heard them say Coach Curry next! So I listened.

I had on Q100 on the way home yesterday, maybe it was fate. :shock:

Finebaum has em all beat.
and i don't care how much he denies it he's a bama fan @ heart...
which is why im listen. I'll be honest. i could care less what every other
team in college football is doing. if thier not on UA Schedule & our
guys ain't playing them next week i could care less.
I listen to F-Baum for 3 reasons,
1. To be informed on UA Football & Sec.
2. To be entertained.
3. To laugh at all the stupid barners. lol
