He's a big time Tennessee fan, with a clear hatred for all things Bama. He's written about Bama three times in the last week or so 1 about Mark Ingram being the worst running back to win the HT, one about the fact that UA cancelling classes three days for the BCS game is an example of why the graduation rate in Alabama is so low, and most recently about a wrongful death suit getting a continuance because of the BCS game.
He also appears once a week on WJOX's the Round Table, which should give you an idea about the level of his sports writing ability. In short he's a washed up lawyer who started a blog in order to get attention and never passes up the chance to slam Alabama. He would like to be Spencer Hall who writes EDSBS, however Clay couldn't cary Spencer's mouse pad.(Note: Hall is a big time Florida fan, but is very evenhanded when taking shots at other schools and will nail Florida when it's called for)
To sum up, Clay Travis IMHO is just another wannabe sports journalist who couldn't keep a job in the real world, so he became an ill-informed blogger with a soapbox, a megaphone, and a deep pshychological need for attention that he evidently did not get as a child. And, should I wallk up the street one day to find him lying on the side walk with his guts enflamed, I wouln't piss on him.
