probably, that's what most real estate agents tell you to do, make it as generic as possible, so potential buyers can imagine their decor and style...

it looks like it's been "staged" (which i can't stand, by the way).

there are no personal items around or any personal pics on the walls.

Definitely staged - especially a $775k house.

To me it's more the lack of wall colors, etc. Just looks boring like a new house. Lacks character.

We staged our house after it was on the market for a year. After we staged it it sold within 60 days and we had 4 offers within 2 weeks after the staging.

for me, seeing a house that's staged versus one that's not wouldn't sway me one way or the other. the stuff they use to stage it with won't come with the house. and i can picture my stuff in another house just fine.

apparently some people can't do that and they need someone else's stuff to see how it would look with stuff in it. it's like they have no imagination (not speaking of anyone here, obviously).

sort of like some people on those home shows on hgtv and diy network who won't even walk through and look at an entire house because they don't like the color of the main room. seriously?! how incapable of thinking for yourself do you have to be that you can't imagine the walls a different color? or that you can...you know....GO BUY SOME PAINT AND REPAINT THEM?! they all seem too lazy to do any work to make the house theirs.

Reminds me of last year when Mel Tucker came to town... He looked at a house (wife's co-worker's house) that was for sale. Wanted to buy it. So he did. Also bought all the furniture, beds, paintings, etc. I'm not even sure they moved the dishes.

This house actually looks like someone lives in it, Smart's house doesn't. Richt's house has way more curb appeal too, Smart's is just a boring box.
