We are good but IMO, not good enough for the NFL. For those of us old enough to remember the college all stars playing against a pro team on a yearly basis, it usually wasn’t pretty.

Some of those All-Star did win a few time! beat my Green bay Packers. i think 1976 was the last time and that game was cut short because of the weather, and lightning.

I remember The Charlie Daniels Band playing at halftime years ago during the Bama -Viles game in Knoxville. It was near the end of the halftime and the announcer said something to the effect "let's listen to TCDB as they finish halftime." TCDB was playing The Devil Went Down To Georgia and just a few seconds after the nation joined in, CD said the most remembered phrase from any CD song,"I told you once, you Sunuvabitch I'm the best that's ever been" The camera quickly switched back to the announcer who said, :Guess we joined TCDB just a little too soon."

Anyone else remember this?

Yep...was at the game.and CD had the fiddle rocking..and EVERY BODY stood and cheered....

It was the 1980/81, Yes I can because, it, was one time I have to go in to work in the motor pool that Saturday! The Motor Pool Sag. told me I could bring in my porter TV to watch the game. But the best thing was he let all of us go that day early and I make it home to watch it on TV that day.

Not entirely. I still remember the TV announcer for that game commenting that he'd just witnessed, for the first time ever, the Packers' Jim Taylor get knocked backward on a tackle. The tackler was Lee Roy Jordan.
