The state of Alabama has a great shot at 3 x football championships this year.

FBS - #1 Crimson Tide

FCS - #2 Jax State; only loss to FBS LSU

D2- #3 North Alabama; only loss to FCS Jax State.

I know states have had 2 x champions in football. I don't think any have ever had 3.

That one and tOSU and Mount Union DIII in 2002 were the two I knew of.

Incidentally, UNA ripped off 3 straight D2 titles after that Jax St. Title and their move to I-AA

Well, UNA did it's part to get to the CG.

It's Herr in KC, so I get to go, which is cool

Wish Jax State was still in theirs, but oh well.

Hard to imagine that UNA has second most football wins in state of Alabama since 1990. Only 6 or 8 games behind Bama over that span. Coach Bobby Wallace going for his 4 NC at UNA.

I think had he stayed at UNA the whole time, he'd easily competing for most CFB wins ever.
