The PAC, in bed with the Rose Bowl, looks like they don't want to expand. They are valuing a TV time slot more than a playoff appearance.

I agree but that genie’s out of the bottle and it’s only going to get worse. The game I’ve loved since the ‘60’s is on the inevitable downhill slide into becoming nothing but NFL lite.

Its a pretty dang exciting game that we get to SEE now...

I loved bama football in the 60s.... listened to a lot of games...saw some...

The fact that money is part of the equation....doesnt really diminish the quality..or the excitement...the CFPs have increased the excitement...

( i hate the portal...the NIL as it is...# of bowls...DP commercials....Allstate commercials...etc

Fewer participants and champions in the playoff era but that brings more excitement. Maybe more excitement, but definitely to fewer people, which won't be good for the sport.
