šŸˆ CFP executives adopt a straight-seeding model for this season’s College Football Playoff

Definitely not advocating for last year's Bama team to be in with the losses they had but Clemson only beat one ranked team, SMU. SMU played 2 ranked teams with 1 being Clemson and lost to both, the other was BYU. The schedules don't compare to an SEC schedule so how do you make it "fair"? I don't want fair, I want the best teams to play. Auto conference bids don't equal best teams.

Best teams to play. Play best. Beat best.

Will be in cfps.

The expansion was to get the Boises. Smu. Etc in. To expand interest outside of big 10 n sec foot print.

And its obvious. The sec was interested in competition. Adding top 2 big 12 schools.

I look for more competitive schedules from big 10 n sec. Not less.
With 12 teams. Maybe more. Look for more great games. Cfps will take care of themselves

Klatt repeats a point "the other side" has been espousing.

In Alabama's case, and the SEC, it's worse.

Now that we see the movie to no-divisions we're going to see ties at the top. If Klatt's scenario is true again this season, we may see the team that didn't make it's conference championship game end up as one of the top four.

Scenario: UGA beats TX in the regular season but TX ends up in the SECCG with UGA as 3rd. TX loses, and UGA jumps in to the top four. That regular season game held how much worth?
