| FTBL CFB- The Playoffs: Round One: Texas, Ohio State, PSU, and Notre Dame advance

Hoping those saying "we didn't deserve it" are re-evaluating what that now means.
I am one of those but I am saying it because we did not measure up by losing to Vandy and losing 3 games. In my mind that is simply not good enough. I know I am comparing to my own expectations and that is not how the cfp is setup. So I understand your argurment and I am probably not being fair to Bama. I did watch part of the game last night and for sure Bama would beat either of those teams. My last statement is proving your point but still Vandy? As a long time Bama fan I can't get past that. Yeah I know that is a personal problem :)....

Vandy? All I have to do is rewatch the Oklahoma game and that’s enough to shut me up regardless of what Indiana or SMU looks like in the playoffs.

I’m interest in seeing the ratings for that game. It was up against absolutely nothing as far as live television last night. Only a couple of meaningless NBA matchups, a new season 29 Dateline and CSPAN coverage of the potential federal shutdown. I bet the ratings were still poor. I’d rather been Christmas caroling.

IU was the benefactor of their soft schedule, that was obvious well before this game. And while they are very well coached, their problem is their overall lack of talent. They've got some solid football players, but so does every other power 4 program. Cignetti got the most out of them, which is a credit to him and his staff... but they don't have playoff level talent. And if they'd played some other playoff worthy teams in the regular season, their fate would have been settled before tonight.
You knew when they showed the ND wins, and the Indiana loses. That it wasn't going to be a great game for UI!

This is a bit of a quandary for the Disney family. Even the commentators last night talked about the quality of the game.

Does ESPN/ABC want these numbers public? NO!

ESPN signs a huge contract with the NBA. NBA viewership is down 48% since 2012 and 28% on ESPN year-over-year.

Imagine if you were Brock Vandagriff. You left UGA to play QB just so happens to be at Kentucky. If he would have stayed at UGA he would be starting next week. Could have a Natty but instead he is watching just like us.

I have my standards I hold us to as well, but now it's more of holding us against the field. So agreed, the losses we had were unacceptable, BUT when holding our year against others we were a Top 12 team.
