i have been reading opinions about this since the georgia lsu game yesterday.. my opinion is that it did hurt their chances of winning the game, but my big question is this..
last year when jake locker got the penalty called against BYU he was penalized on the extra point.. this was a situation where washington needed to make a 2 point conversion in order to win the game.. as a result of the penalty the ball was placed on the 17 and a half yardline.. pretty much making a 2 point conversion out of the question.
georgia on the other hand got penalized on the kickoff.. this penalty really hurt georgia badly because field position was a key issue.. kicking off from your on 15 yardline is not good when a fieldgoal is all it takes to beat you..
why is there so much variation in this penalty? when is it actually supposed to be assessed? and i do agree with alot of P.O.ed bulldog fans that tebow celebrates more than any player in college football and that his celebrations are directed to the fans..
