| FTBL Cecil's Take on the MSU Game

This is a good quote everyone here should read if they don't read anything else:

If the UA loss does one thing, it supplies perspective that had been lost in the wake of a win over Tennessee and a “good loss” (an oxymoron) against LSU. Alabama is what most people suspected it would be at the first of the year. It’s an average team that has done some good things and gotten some nice wins. It is a team that is rebuilding. It hasn’t been blown out by anyone and it has victories over Arkansas and Tennessee and it still has a chance to upset Auburn at the end of the year, monumental though that upset would be given the way the two teams are playing right now. But it is not a really good team.

Yes that part stood out to me as well. Puts a big perspective and it will sting most who live thru crimson and white glasses  .

That being said, I think it might just do some good for the team. Let them come off whatever cloud nine their heads might of been on and give them a little gut check. Perhaps it might allow them to regroup and settle in for a big upset for the end of the season!

You can't blame that one play for the loss. That play was just a symptom. The loss for them game can be placed on the 'cause'. The cause is mental. As a starting QB in the SEC when it's 3rd down and goal, with less than 20 seconds in the half, you're up by 5. Two things have to be in your mind. #1, don't take a sack. Check. Second, DO NOT THROW AN INT. Normally one out two shouldn't be bad, but what normally would have been a 3 point swing, turned into a 10 point swing.

Nope, two things caused the loss. Bad judgment and poor decisions. Most of the time, those can be fixed. Question is, what will it take?
