Moussa, wherever he ends up, needs to work on his offensive skills. I wish him well.

I wouldn't say I didn't like his style of play, he seemed to work and try hard, it was just his talent level was lacking somewhat.

He played 5.5 times as many minutes this year and scored 49 points as opposed to 18 last year. Averaged 1.5 points per game and last year 1.4. Blocks were up to 1.4 per game from .9 last year.

Our front line was in trouble this year. That's kinda the whole problem.

We have sub-standard players like Mousa and Dirk the Scandanavian to begin with, then you have injuries. Recipe for disaster. Expect more of the same next year IMHO.

More of the same inside? I don't think so. Grant might pull in another Center because of this or get a PF. I think Pollard will be much better next year because he'll have that experience and so we can score more inside. Main problem we need to fix-REBOUNDING​!!!

Pollard is not an inside player, Raider. Pollard is a true "3" or small forward. He doesn't play inside. He's essentially Paul Pierce. Three-bombing, penetrator. That's his game, not posting up inside. I agree, that with another year, Pollard will develope and help in some rebounding catagories, but he's not a post player.

As far as Grant bringing in a center, well, whatever. All I can say is that recruiting has been so bad that last season Carl the Bohemian actually saw some playing time. That alone should tell you how bad things are. I've never seen a worse player than what Carl Engstrom was his first season. Granted, Carl made some strides this season, so I'll give him credit, but he should have never seen the court last year. He was horrific. I mean, literally....that bad.

Mousa, a 4-year project, would have seen significant minutes last year if not for being injured. That's the only thing that kept Grant from putting him into the starting lineup.

So, forgive me if I'm not sold on Grant just bringing in a center and fixing all of this. Quite frankly, I attribute all of this to Grant. It's his team, his recruiting. He didn't just show up on campus yesterday and inheret something. It's his program.

Sorry, just don't agree about the "expect the same". I think Pollard is very versatile player who can score both in the post and outside, never said that was where he most relies though. Just a area where he can contribute to help at times. Probably should have reworded it better on my part.

And I think you have Carl Engstrom and Mousa mixed up.

Correction on Mousa. He is indeed a JUCO transfer. Having said that, he's still a 4-year project in terms of any kind of offensive production. He's shown occasional flashes of potential but never had the ability to put it together for any stretch.

But no, I didn't get them mixed up. Gueye came in injured his first season and only played in a handful of games at the end of the season. Engstrom actually saw some playing time last year, which in itself is an indictment on how bad recruiting for big men has been by Grant.

You're entitled to your opinion on next season in regards to big men, but we'll just agree to disagree. From what I've seen the roster is made up of 15 players, 9 of which are guards. This team was guard-heavy and size deficient from the beginning. Of the other non-guards on our roster, half are small forwards. The only center on the team is now gone. Nick Jacobs has been the only source of inside production for this team for 2 seasons, and we don't even get him the ball. The entire offense runs through our 4-guard set and to make matters worse, we can't buy a 3-pointer the vast majority of the time. So, forgive me if I don't share your optimism. We'll just have to disagree.
