Not allowing due process is the reasoning for a potential lawsuit unless the PSU people had already agreed to this. It would be like getting arrested and given the death penalty without given a chance to give your side.

What a sad day in the history of college football. I went to my first game in 1978 and I remember some great games of Bama vs Penn State. I was excited to attend the game in Tuscaloosa in 2010 and see Joe Pa one last time. It's hard to believe a man as cherished as Joe Pa will be remembered by all this. I understand what he should have done, and football does not transcend his ultimate responsibility. But this is still depressing.

The speculation has been over the last 24 hours PSU officials were given a choice and they chose this route as the lesser of all sanctions. I've heard disassociation from membership as well as death penalty.

I agree with you Terry. To me this entire NCAA sanctions thing was crap from the beginning. I have thought all along that the NCAA would impose sanctions if for no other reason for public perception. It does sound a lot like a "take this or we'll".

To say because some of us don't agree with how the NCAA handled this means we support Penn St covering up child molestation is sickening and idiotic.

Some have gone through something similar as the kids that were preyed upon by Sandusky and I take great exception to you saying because I disagree with the NCAA means I support what Penn St did.

Of course I don't actually mean that. If you believe that this was my level of cognitive functioning I feel somewhat insulted. If I actually believed that you are pro molestation if you disagree with the ncaa then I don't know that I would have the functioning level needed to sit in front of a keyboard.
