📝 CB Geno Smith—Atlanta (GA) St. Pius X—sets announcment date.

"I plan on deciding on August 17," Smith said. "It will be a press conference at my school right about the time school gets out, so it should be around 3:30. I’m down to Alabama and Auburn.

Depending on where you look, Geno is ranked between the 2nd (by two services) best CB in the class all the way down to the 7th best. Solid CB prospect, no doubt.

I've always said, I don't dislike Auburn as a school. Now, certain coaches and players there? I've had my issues with: have with every rival school. Hell, I respected the hell out of Saban as a coach when he was at LSU but didn't care for him because he WAS the coach at LSU and I thought early on he was a conceded SOB. Our SOB now, ya know?

One thing about Geno, he's truly been an entertaining guy to follow. Some of his antics on Twitter should remind a lot of folks that kids can still have a lot of fun with the recruiting process. He certainly has. If he ends up with you guys I'd imagine he'll be a guy I'll still follow.

Damn good CB as I've said. But, he's only ranked #2 by two of the services: NOT #1!!! Oh, the sky is falling if we get him...two years in a row landing the top CB and now we are settling!!!

I don't have a solid answer on where I he ends up. I'm cautiously optimistic and have a few thoughts on it. But, for now, I'll stick with the Black discussions.
