🏈 Cash sought for Cam Newton

After every decent play he makes, he beats his chest and struts around, jumping into the standsand doing all the theatrics that generally a person with the team in mind keeps to a minimum.

Doesn't the whole team do that too??? I think it's a requirement over on the plains. :headscratch:

As far as the jumping into the stands, I think the Auburn men like it as much as the ladies as illustrated in the pic below. Check out where dude's hand is!?!?

It's looking really bad for Auburn right now. No way Cam sits imo.

I really havent seen anything that makes it look bad for Auburn. Alot of rumors and things people are saying. If the SEC had this since earlier this year I find it hard to believe anyone has evidence.

Now to me personally the interview I saw with Cam where he said something along the lines of I'm not going to say if I did or didnt do something was more damaging than anything. I kind of understand what he was saying about not feeding the fire, but he just did. Just say I didnt do it. Also Chizik's comment on the Florida cheating stuff being a part of privacy laws was dumb. Hey you may have caught something but its supposed to be a secret. :lance: He's probably right but if thats your defense. Come on man!

Also, I think Urban Cryer is behind this whole story. He knows his Gators may very well play in the SECCG if they beat South Carolina and he wont have an answer for Cam. So try to force him out on the administrative side.

Joe Schad isn't just some internet hack starting rumors. Quote from Schad's article:

Prior to Newton's commitment to Auburn, one of the recruiters said Cecil Newton told him it would take "more than a scholarship" to bring his son to Mississippi State, a request the source said the school would not meet. Cecil Newton also referred the recruiter to a third person that would provide more specifics, the source said.

You think this isn't bad. If it's true, this is the worst form of cheating in collegiate athletics. A great player was offered a very large sum of money and on top of that he was shopped to the highest bidder.

"more than a scholarship" can be interpreted many different ways....that statement alone is in no way is incriminating. The statements made by Cam and his father are more damaging than anything ive seen reported by any media outlet.

I do have to agree with that. They're doing a better job destroying their credibility then the media is.

Man, all the talking the Auburn administration has done just reeks of them needing a real PR person to talk. Coaches just cannot handle these public questions, and players aren't mature enough to say the right things about the tough questions. I applaud Auburn's willingness to be forthcoming, and I am coming to the realization that the University believes it has crossed every T, but there IS something amiss here, and it may cost Auburn, and will certainly cost Newton.

But it's not that statement alone. Cecil then referred the recruiter to a third person. If that third person is who we all think he is, then that shows they're talking about money.

I never said anything about Joe Schad or the media. I just said it sounds like a bunch of rumors right now. Calm down.

Yes IF its true it will be bad for Auburn. Right now its just talk.

To ExiledTideFan,Honestly, to this point it hasn't cost Cam anything! Serious question, What do you see it costing him? We are at the end of the season and unless the NCAA moves quickly he could be holding a National Title in one hand and
The H-Man in the other! Does anyone know how much money it took to Repair the Church to keep it from being torn down? I really would have thought more people would have been asking that!
Roll Tide Roll!

To answer your question, Cam's brother plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He could have easily given the money to Cecil to repair the church.

I read somewhere that the the city of newnan said it would take at least half the value of the property to get it up to code thats why the would have torn them down... the property's tax valuation was $400k, but cecil said the repairs were only $50k... but we know how honest he is
