We are all surprised by the "drop the hammer nature of this move, which runs counter to a coach who averages 5 arrests a year. So why the sudden putting down of the foot? Well Notre Dame University will snot stand for that kind of behavior from his players, and....

Unfortunately, what his coach does to him will not matter. He has someone much more powerful to answer to.... a judge and his parents. i hope his father really did say to kick him off of the team. Our country definitely needs to hold our children accountable for their actions. Try this crap in the NFL, and you don't stand a chance against a media feeding frenzy, or worse yet , he may kill himself or someone else in a car wreck. Try living with that. Forget DUI. I guess what I'm saying is that as long as the KID learns his lesson, I don't have a problem with whatever his punishment is. The suspension should be adequate, for starters. I see things like this in a little different light, as a parent of teenage boys. I just thank God when they come home at night.

Besides Spikes I would say that he's one of their leaders on Defense. Could also make a arguement for Haden, but he was most certainly their top DL. Top 5 in the nation.

I am glad that he was suspended indefinitely, not because he will miss the SECCG but because DUI is a serious offense which deserves much more than a slap on the wrist.
