Let's huddle up guys.
OR
You and me Cam, let's fook'em up.

I don't know if there is video anywhere of this, but in the 1989 Auburn game one of our DBs, John Mangum, was hit so hard that he went to the wrong huddle after a play. We didn't know much about concussions than, it was just that he had gotten 'his bell rung', and he stayed in the game. He played several years in the NFL, but called it quits because of repeated problems with concussions.

Mangum Reluctantly Quits Because Of Concussions

A few years back Mike and Mike had a guest on, and I can't remember his name, but it was one of the offensive linemen that was playing when The Sack occurred. I guess he played with Beuerlien in HS because he said they got in the huddle and Beuerlien was calling out old high school plays.... I got a good laugh.

Credit to Beuerlein that he stayed inn the game.

It remind me of and old joke about this player getting hit so hard. He got up and when to the other side, the coach told him, son you on the wrong side. Yes, coach I know but if I go back over there he will put me back in.

You guy be quiet I will be the spy. Maybe no will notice me, and I will find out the plays. Will let you know what plays will be.

It was funny but then scary all in the same moment. I'm glad that sports medicine has made the strides they have in concussions. 5 years ago, he would have been right back in there about 2 plays later.

With that said, here is my caption.

"I'm just gonna play over here for awhile. You guys try tackling that big sumbitch!"
