🏈 Capital One Bowl.... yes?

Even from Toronto the flights to Orlando are as cheap as chips; $129 one way!!! Just wish the game wasn't New Years Day. Flights and stuff are cheaper the first week in.
And as one is a "Bowl" newbie....does one buy their tickets on line, off Net scalpers, or do the "outside the stadium" haggling thing?

The bowls usually put a good block of tickets on sale to the general public. You can probably find out when by visiting its official site once the matchups are announced. I'd say you'd have an excellent shot at picking one up at face value. Probably you'll be able to get one outside the stadium on game day as well.

I don't think the Cotton Bowl excites anyone.:lance:
You are correct, sir. No one in their right minds would want to go to Jerry's World during prime time hours in the only bowl on that day hosted by Fox. I mean, good football players dont come from there so it sucks for recruiting too. And worst of all, we have to play A&M probaby, a team in which we have ZERO history with.

I have certainly not gotten on my hands and knees and prayed for this.

(BTW, I think LSU is the number 2 if Auburn goes to the BCS, forcing us into the cotton because the outback will nab South Carolina)

I'd be all over a trip to Dallas.

I remember before the Fiesta blew up with corporate money when the Cotton was one of the big 4 bowls. That people are now no longer excited about it makes me sad.

It's a great environment, of course I haven't been to Jerry's house yet, but they do a good job creating an experience at any event there.

Plus I want to see Alabama play again and I would love to watch Alabama play OU.

...and those 11:30 am EST kickoffs they were having for that game a few years back were a slap in the face to the college football gods. They treated like it was the Overstock.com Bowl or something.

Cap. One Bowl would be a nice draw, especially against a quality Michigan State team.

If Auburn goes to the BCS game, the Sugar Bowl will take Arkansas and LSU will probably end up in Dallas which would leave you guys heading to the Capital One Bowl. If Auburn loses USCjr to Sugar Bowl, Auburn gets an at-large, Arkansas to Cotton Bowl, LSU or Bama to Capital One and the other would go to the Outback Bowl. My guess would be Bama would get chosen over LSU if you draw one of the Florida bowls. Bama fans travel like few other fanbases, which may actually work to your detriment if Jerry-World needs to be packed.

Outback Bowl would be the absolute lowest you guys should fall and even that is a push, in my opinion. I figure you'll end up in Dallas or Capital One

The Capital One Bowl picks before the Cotton Bowl. I would be surprised if they passed on a 2 loss LSU for a 3 loss Alabama given that LSU won their head to head.

They also look at how well the fan base travels and the $$ they will spend. As much as someone so nicely pointed out the Texas HS football base, Florida has a pretty good pool also. I could see a bowl picking a 3 loss Bama team over the 2 loss LSU team. Its all about the Benjamins, not the matchup.

All the big SEC teams travel well though so I wouldn't expect that to be a factor. The Capital One bowl might want to snag Bama while they can, they had LSU last year, so it's not a done deal but I am projecting a Cotton Bowl appearance for the Tide.

You heard anything about the Cotton wanting a UA vs A&M match-up? There seem to be some rumblings...

barners everywhere. i'm so sick of these ppl.
I don't understand why you dislike them on our board? They're just regular people like me and you, they just root for the other team. You would treat them with respect if they rooted for Alabama, and they don't act like the auburn fans the chime in on Paul Finebaum, so what's your problem man? Maybe I've missed something but these guys haven't done anything rude or classless.
