šŸˆ Can Anyone Here Explain The Phenomena That Is CNS Refusing To Use Timeouts ?

For as long as I can remember, and in the biggest of games where every point counts CNS has ALWAYS refused to use his timeouts. No one at Woolly was ever able to explain it; anyone here ever come up with a good explanation ?

.......we stop the clock they have more time to run a play in that situation. Worked out this time

No, it didn't. Wisconsin's coach showed exactly how to manage the clock

We didn't even try! What kind if message does that send your offensive unit? It's definitely not one of enthusiasm. Why not just take a fucking knee if you're not even gonna try? Either run the clock out, or actually enthusiastically try to score on the drive.
Makes no sense to squander a posession like that

Just before half of the 2012 SECCG Vs Georgia... I was speechless. CNS with 3 timeouts refuses to use them, and Bama has to kick a FG on first down from inside the 5 yd line I think. (yeah after it was obvious we could score he used one, but it was too late)

There have been so many examples of it, but that one almost cost Bama a title. There is no doubt he needs to improve his time management.

If he uses the time out and Coker throws a INT or someone fumbles then the argument would have been why didn't we just take the lead into the half..... I think if we're going to be in better field position he uses it. But again I ask what would have been the benefit of using one right then?

I thought I made it clear I was asking about his track record. Have you seriously never noticed how CNS never uses his timeouts in an effort to run a 2-minute offense before half ? If you havent noticed then carry on and ignore this thread because if you start paying attention it will probably annoy you.

CNS could have used his timeouts to prevent Wisky from running a solid minute off the clock, and then been more aggressive about actually trying to score before half. Like someone mentioned above either try to score or just take knee, but what kind message do you want to send your offense/opposing defense.

The success of every oppressive regime throughout history has been predicated upon the majority having an attitude like yours. Congrats on being one of the stumbling blocks in mankinds quest for ascension.

You're calling Saban's program an oppressive regime? When was the last time a democratic football program won anything? On this week's Hey Coach program, please call and ask why the fans can't vote on plays to be called. Your comment is moronic to equate the running of a football program to geo-political policies.

No I'm not. Do you ever comprehend much of what you read ?

When was the last time a democratic football program won anything?

The fuck are you talking about ? haha

I did no such thing. I pointed out that your narrow minded follow the leader/never question authority attitude is what has allowed many of the unfortunate chapters in mankinds history to take place.

This has nothing to do with football. Nothing. I was merely making a comment about how dangerous an attitude like yours has been throughout time. Unfortunately you whiffed on the message. I'm probably more out of line here than you are though. I probably should not be voicing any ideas that could drown the intellectually challenged here in the football forum. Apologies.

Back to the point of this thread, I bet you could attend a Hey Coach show and ask Saban that question about timeouts.

Well the reporters at half time of the '12 SECCG, (and the broadcasters who were stunned as well) asked him why he did that, and he admitted that he made a mistake, and that it cost Bama points. Imagine that. CNS is human, and could actually improve at some things.
