I was watching the ESPN College Football Final on ESPNU this morning and they went to an interview in the ESPN bus after the Ole Miss game. The reporter asked Cam if he was a defensive coordinator how would you stop you.

He says; "Not to be arrogant but you cant stop me, but you can try and contain me."

Wow, arrogant much? The again the media and Auburn people have beat it into his head.

Goes hand in hand with being an Auburn player.
If you're a "3 star" high school player they tell you you're under rated, you're really a 5.
And they inflate your ego and make you belive it. And when you get there....your still a 3 star.
The've done little to nothing to help you improve as a player. But with type of ppl Auburn recruits....
doesn't much matter. They don't care anything about you...so long as you can run, block, tackle, kick or throw.
All Newton is is just another thoughbred jackass in auburns stable of rented mules. Yeah he mabe the best one IN the STABLE....
But they're still going to use him like every other rented mule they have.

In Tuscaloosa.....your're a 3 star untill you get on campus. then your a Zero star and they tell you that.
Then they proceed to MAKE you a 5 star ath. And no matter how much you give they demand MORE.

No one is unstopable. NO ONE. he will meet his fate in a few short weeks. Our guys will be ready for him and anything else they can throw at us.

Wonder how that plays with the Heisman voters? HUMBLE is certainly not the way to go...just look at what humble did for Ingram's Heisman hopes last season...oh...never mind.

I'm shocked it took so long for this thread to start. I thoroughly expected to see it up before I went to bad last night. You guys are slacking! :poke:

Yeah, I could've lived without him saying that one. I'm sure Chizik has already "coached" him on interview etiquette. He tried to save it by mentioning teammates and God and such but I'm sure everyone not wearing an Auburn shirt stopped listening after that first sentence.

Although, being a football fan I can play both sides of the fence. I wish he hadn't said it but since the Clemson & South Carolina games.....he has a point.

I am sure this article will look good in the Bama locker room. I just hope someone can prod him to predict a barn win or lopsided score in favor of the barn.

I agree with the post above. No one has stopped him yet. He has every right to be confident. He's far and away the best player AU has and should be the Heisman favorite. That said, there is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Every great player has confindence in spades. When you start beliving you "can't be stopped", then you open yourself up for mistakes. The next worst thing to have no confidence in your abilities and second guessing everything, is thinking you can do no wrong. For when you do, you will.

It is great bulletin board material. Everyone they play from here on out will use it to motivate themselves.

Will it matter? Georgia won't stop him because they haven't stopped anyone except Tennessee so far, and I'll say Vandy is going to stop UT this year.
Chattanooga won't stop him, because Mark Ingram is still scoring, and it's been almost a year since the Bama-Chatt game ended.
And Alabama will be the best team they've faced this year, but probably not as good on defense as LSU. We will have to play our best game of the season defensively, and that o-line is going to have to do it's best work as well, for us to beat them. But I believe our guys will do it.

Just curious. Why does Cam get to celebrate in front of his fans and not get flagged? Tebow used to do the same thing, and I think I saw him get flagged ONCE in his entire career. Bugs me that certain players have different rules or actually no rules. But that's another topic for another time.
