🏈 Calloway de-commits from Bama; Swann chooses Georgia over Tide

Calloway just picked the Barn :(

What is going on?! What is Auburn telling these kids? :headscratch: Quan Bray picked Auburn over us, now Calloway switches. We've had kids cancel official visits for this weekend....

Calloway used the "family" word just like Bray did. Makes me wonder what Auburn is telling these kids about us. I just don't get it.

Not a good day for Alabama. I don't understand why schools seem to keep recruiting every dang one of our commitments (no matter how solid or for how long), yet our staff doesn't seem to do the same.

Supposedly Region was set to announce to Alabama yet commits to Auburn (but then later de-commits to them and about 4 other schools). Calloway stated he was "comfortable" and "solid" to Alabama not even a week or two ago. Now this. Put this with the FSU commit saying he wants to meet Saban on the field, yadda yadda. Why is it so cool and so in to bash Alabama? What makes recruits want to call Alabama out (it just has to be something with Saban). Some recruits absolutely love his style; obviously others don't.

don't go there...you are kinda dogging that young mans integrity. calloway wants to play RB.

Well then, I wish he would have stated that plainly on national tv. Don't have a problem with him picking what's right for him - have a problem with the way he did it to our staff and fans. What a way to slam Saban and Alabama.

you expecting a kid at 18 to do things a certain way...bad logic in my book.

If they've dealt with our staff, committed to UA and claimed to be a lifelong Alabama fan then yep I expect some class. As a 'lifelong" fan he should know how something like that felt to a real fan. There was a better way to do what he did.

and there is the class comment..... here we go again.... class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class class

 The kid doesn't owe any of us any type of explanation. And he certainly doesn't have to do it live on national TV. Who knows his relationship with Saban, I'm sure he wasn't surprised and slammed.

I really think he wanted to play RB more than defense. He would never have been able to beat out any of the guys in Bama's stable of RB's. If RB is where he wanted to play, he made the right choice IMO. Bama is loaded at RB. Hate to lose a guy this talented, but it happens. Besides, if he visits Alabama he could change his mind once again.

If he wants to play RB that's fine and dandy...but did he JUST NOW realize he probably wasn't going to get that opportunity at Alabama? Because everyone else in the world KNEW that wasn't going to happen. I call BS... I'm sorry. I usually stick up for kids who switch commitments but this one just seems a little fishy. I still remember less than three months ago seeing him in the stands four feet away from me and hearing someone shout "ROLL TIDE" to him. I never seen someone light up as quick as he did when he looked back at them, smiled, and gave them a big "ROLL TIDE" back. Him "just being young" is far from an argument. Something happened under the table here...I'm sorry but that's the only conclusion I can come to.

Im worried that Brent just has superior physical ability at RB, but with little technique as compared to him at LB.

Itd be like Rolando McClain going to Auburn as a RB. We all know hes a great LBer, but is there any doubt he couldve appeared to do well as a RB coming out of highschool?

My worry is that Auburn is playing him for a fool and ultimatly intend to make him a LB despite knowing that he will probably fail at RB.
