Cade Foster made two tackles on kickoffs. On one of them, he slammed Jeffrey Demps to the turf hard. Demps didn't do squat after that.

Even the kicker is tough and physical!

My son and I were talking about how much he reminded us of Lane Bearden. I can remember him making several big tackles and played the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

It's a good omen when your kicker can lay a hit.

he was also a LB in high school, pretty sure he was the strongest guy on the team too at a really good football team here in Dallas.

I like a physical kicker like Foster, but I'd rather have him chicken fight with a blocker while the ball sails through the end zone.

That being said, as a lifelong complainer of the kicking game, I do need to acknowledge the improvement in our punting Saturday. Net yards per kick were 37.4, a good average considering two of his shorter kicks (32 and 34) were both caught inside the 15 with no returns. Also, when we needed a boomer to flip the field, Mandell's 49 yarder that was fair caught on the 14 was just what we needed.

Yeah, Mandell did great on Saturday. Also, I think that Foster comes from the same high school that McElroy came from, right? Southlake-Carroll or something like that?
