... and as you look around the conference who do you believe in?

  • Did Auburn have the reality check we've cautioned against for months?
  • A win against Notre Dame is a "signature win" for any program--especially on the road, at night. But, did it tell us anything about Georgia or was this just the first defining moment of Notre Dame, '17?
  • UofSC is 2-0. Their offense has been outgained by over 300 yards in the last two games. Are they a contender?
  • Vandy is 2-0?
  • Wins over BYU and UTC mean what exactly?
Easy concept here. Look around the conference. Who do you see that's "over-valued?" Who is exactly right, or under-valued?

  • :rolf::rolf:
  • The latter. Notre Lame was ranked where they were for...what reason? Brian Kelly's seat isn't as hot as Sumlin's, but it's pretty warm.
  • I think if they're not in the first final four, then they'll be on the 5 spot waiting to get in.
  • So far...Okay. Bama will take care of their high hopes soon.
  • Nothing

South Carolina is terrible as i thought they would be - sell

Georgia looks to win the east given florida's issues on offense. I'm not sure they're that great, but they're solid in all areas that i saw.

Mississippi St. is the darkhorse in the west

Auburn, though losing to Clemson, looks like a well-rounded team. If they lean a bit more toward the run game and Pettway stays healthy, they will be tough to beat. Auburn's defense is the best I've seen from the SEC so far. don't get mad

haven't seen anything from LSU yet

Tennersee is predictably average. I think uga spanks them this year.

Ole miss is toast

Vandy looks like a team that could knock you out if you're sleeping a bit

IMO I think Auburn will be ok as long as they dont continue to give up 11 sacks a game. Too much talent on the Plains. Sell

  • A win against Notre Dame is a "signature win" for any program--especially on the road, at night. But, did it tell us anything about Georgia or was this just the first defining moment of Notre Dame, '17?
This is not your dads nd. A win at nd is not a signature win for me but a good win. No reason to be disagreeable about anyone's opinion. Buying its a step in the right direction for UGA and the first defining moment for nd.

  • UofSC is 2-0. Their offense has been outgained by over 300 yards in the last two games. Are they a contender?
Selling at this point in the season. Pretenders or contenders? Hard to answer that one.

  • Vandy is 2-0?
  • Wins over BYU and UTC mean what exactly?
Selling as well right now. BYU is not the team they once were when they had QB U going on. Chattanooga? Really?

The Bayou Tigers may be the real deal because ole Les did not leave the program bare. If the offense continues to improve, read stable QB play, they could cause trouble.

Rocky Top has to do more than win a couple of games for me to get too excited about. Let's see where they are at mid season and then I'll make a prediction.

A & M may fire Sumlin but who would they hire. Dont think anyone is beating the door down to go to College Station.

Here's the SEC stock I'm interested in:

Bama: buying all I can afford. Proven winner.

awbarn: selling, defense wins championships and they have a good one, but defense has to have some help and they don't.

Georgia: holding for now, but ready to sell when they print their NC tee shirts.

Muschamp U: sell, no faith in this team holding their value.

Vandy: Holding till September 23rd and then selling early. May buy back in time for the Vile game.

Texas A&M: selling immediately before they enter SEC play. History shows they lose value quickly after September.

LSU: Buying for now.

Ole Miss: Selling or probably giving it away as the value has fallen so much.

Florida: undecided so probably holding and hoping value improves as promised.

The Viles: I will never own any Vile stock so I don't give a damn. I'm betting it under-achieves.

Some "international stock" I've looked at:

Texas: selling, going to be a long season since Colt got hurt.

Penn State: buying for the time being.

OSU: buying because they won't be devalued again until late October when Nittany Lions check them out.

Wolverine U: buying for the same reason as OSU.
