🏈 Butch Jones to be hired as offensive analyst?

So UT would still pay $196,667 per month while Alabama (if hired at $40k per year) would pay $3333 per month.
Exactly. A steal. He's living well working with a football team.

UT never had an offense that really threatened. We looked at them in the pre-season and saw capability but always a hole here or there, right? (BTW, QB story there is a good one.) He's been with RB's, WR's TE's, a role as OC...got some experience that can't hurt.

One thing that intrigues me is the association of "offensive analyst" with the offensive plans. Yep, true. But, the overall picture of overlooked in my opinion. They can offer insights on defensive game planning that comes from a unique perspective. I like the idea of Butch in that role.

An offensive analyst (trends, what works when, how to make what doesn't work work) provides input to, but doesn't create, the offensive game plan. It does Butch better if he stays involved in some level with coaching (and working with Saban and his staff is a gold mine) than waiting for the next HC or OC position. He also wouldn't be the only analyst.

This reads,

It does Butch better if he stays involved in some level with coaching (and working with Saban and his staff is a gold mine) than waiting for the next HC or OC position. just like this reads. The words are virtually the same, "insights, "a unique perspective," and "provides input."

I'm not reading anything that suggests Butch is going to be the game planner. I do see areas, like mentioned here, where he can provide some valuable insights. After all, how many people are we looking at in the "game planning room?" I'd guess we're getting close to 10, if not more.

What and where is the so called SuperStore located in TitleTown
Off of Bryant between 8th and 9th is the one here I believe. It's hard for me to tell from such a small picture. It would be the one closest to the football facilities. He may have been in the Supply Store (also referred to as the Supe Store by some) inside the Ferg.

Supe Store has books, supplies, clothing, etc...student resource center basically. Hell, when I was in school I cashed checks there (if I didn't want to go to the bank,) rented movies, and a few other things.

Welcome | University of Alabama Supply Store

@JoseyWalesTheOutlaw FWIW, I tend to check their site to see what's available when I'm buying Bama merchandise. Sometimes it's a little more expensive and a lot of the time there's a selection there you won't find in Dick's, etc.

IE: As soon as I saw the logo I was headed to checkout.

To add one more thing...

Put yourself in Butch's shoes for a minute...you're in Knoxville and the Tide has won, again. Are you, or is he, lighting a stogie?

Thanks...I believe I have been to most of the Bama stores in TitleTown but this one I haven't.

Two Supe stores in Tuscaloosa. On the lower level of Ferguson Center is the original or main store. It's run by the school. and can be considered the campus book store where you can buy text books, school supplies, sundries and Alabama-related merchandise. The second is near BDS just east of Tutwiler that used to be The Corner convenience store. There used to be a small annex inTutwiler, but it closed (replaced by the new one on the corner).

Early returns on our born-again offensive analyst at pro-day, he doesn't look half bad in Crimson.
