🏈 Bulldogs eager to avenge 2012 SEC title game loss

they should use the "if" word for their coach. "if we had a different/better coach, then we'd probably have an SEC championship or maybe even a national championship by now."

I can't see Wolken taking a shot at Richt which makes me think this was directed more at Adams.

Do keep in mind we have a fatty package for the times we are getting pushed with the light packages. Casher, lake, ashawn, duvall, allen, pettway, reed. These guys will not be bullied and Casher is a human blob like cody. You will likely see the fatty package in our base game 1 against cornbread boys.

Yes, but we have fewer of that variety now. Don't get me wrong, getting quicker to chase down the spread systems is absolutely the right thing to do and I trust the coaches. Just concerned that we'll get worn down if we meet a Bama 2012 style line and backs.

Lsu was that way last year and our defense played well with the fatty package. Yeah we have less but still decent depth.

but now that we've been trending back toward lighter linemen and linebackers (we beefed up to beat LSU when they were the biggest threat we had) I'm afraid we will run into a team that will beat us in the power running game,

Hold on now, Tim.

We've got two 360+ defensive tackles coming in with this class. Our interior linebackers are still averaging about the same size.

I do agree we've seen a bit of shift in the OLB (including that fourth downlinemen) but that's what ... at the most three shifts on personnel in our dime? It's no more than two in our base.

Consider this for a second. When Xavier hit campus he was about 30-35 lbs lighter than Khalid Kareem ... the later being a little taller, heavier.

Point being...how much of a change have we seen in the kids on defense? Is it size?

You're right, it's more on the edge, OLBs and DEs (fourth linemen). Will the "quick-twitch" guys add weight at the same rate as their predecessors? Time will tell.
