An Auburn beat writer making accusations about Alabama...IM SHOCKED! Seems like trying to keep some heat off of Auburn by making accusatiosn about Alabama. The fact that Calloway committed to Auburn after being committed to Alabama for so long sounds more fishy than him switching back to Alabama imo...

I could live without the mud slinging. Unless there's proof this is worthless. I'm in the "who gives a damn?" camp at the moment. Until it is substantiated, I wouldn't believe anything from a Bama writer about AU and I certainly won't believe anything about Bama from an AU writer. Hell, I'm hesitant about believing everything about either school their own people write.

As you may expect, some AU people are dancing in the streets already. I happen to not be one of those people.

You got that right! A dead lock for Bama for years, already committed - lifelong Bama fan - decommits and picks Auburn immediately after one visit. Westerman, CK, Frazier, etc. Do they want to open that can of worms?

I've got to disagree with you on that statement. Weak attempt? No. Calculated but possible failure? We'll see this afternoon and the remainder of the week.

Let's see how far the scope is on his "interview" before determining...that's the way I see it.

No problem. I guess I should have said calculated attempt to deflect the negative publicity that they have been receiving.

I'm glad the Tuscaloosa News staff decided to actually investigate one of these rumors instead of letting people run with it. Hell, even though I knew the story about Gadsden a few years ago, and repeatedly laughed at people's accusations down there, a response like this would have been a good idea.
