I find this a bit weak. 🙃

My B&L Breambuster (13') and live crickets...I can hit a bed and have my limit (eating) in an hour. I know where they are in the reservoir.

I've never had any luck with those. As in, not once. A few, maybe.

Beautiful! They hit a couple of beds.

There isn't a "sport" in bream. It's not really good eatin' considering the bones. But damn, it's fun. It's hit, after hit, after hit...just a matter of where you cast.
I love wading creeks and fishing beetle spins, never know what you're going to catch next.

Favorite for bream has to be a top water popper during this time of year. Bream on the bed or close to the banks with all of the flies in the trees. Love to see them hit the poppers.

Here is where I'm the pure definition of lazy. No argument needed.

Dawn, a "regular" at the bars...she has a condo on the water. She has a party boat docked: just fill the gas tank and clean up. Of her pier I can hit dozens of beds.

I can put my pole on my bike and be at her house in less than fifteen going casually. Throw the crickets in the back pack. Two hours later I'm back home but went fishin' for a bit.

The bass are the challenge.

Sounds more like efficient to me. I can catch a lot off my folks' dock but have to weed through a lot of small ones. Put a trap out there last night, hoping to catch bait for some limb lines this evening and turn bream into flatheads.

@Krimson the water temp is about where it needs to be for bass right now. It's a little late.

There's a bridge that goes over part of the reservoir. I saw a a couple of guys using top water jigs. Still confused on that one. I couldn't figure out what they were throwing. It just didn't look right.

It's 11 AM. A little late. At six, a month ago, spinner bait hit. A swim jig/swim bait? Prolly hit tonight.

And this will make sense.

When I want to.

I'm doing a blackened (porcini peppers) whiting tonight on French bread as a sandwich...three colored rotini on the side tossed in an Italian dressing I made. Another "WTF" moment.

My favorite month for bass in LA is February, water temp about 52. Slow rolling spinnerbaits will catch those big prespawn girls.
