Not surprised. He looked like he had checked out months ago. Still, pretty decent player and hate to lose anyone who can help. But then again, it doesnāt want to be here..................Ba-bye.
I donāt understand . Why would he not go into the draft but bail on BAMA ? Is there so kind of riff with coach ? I mean if it werenāt for his injury he would have been more productive throughout the year . Wonder if he feels as though heās not being developed ? Does he blame coach for his role as a go to guy or what ? Best of luck to him

In the last eight to ten games we began to see the Key of old. It's unfortunate in a sense--certainly not for him I hope--that he needs a reboot. Now, there's a lot of factors playing into all of this. When he came back from his injury CAJ did his best to get Key back into the rotation. We all saw him struggle physically early on and mentally until the very end of the season--and then he still wasn't all there.
It's been a between the ears situation for him for awhile now. There are outside influences that have been in his ear since the off-season of last year. I understand one of these happens to be a female that lives out of state. The mental aspect kicked in from the start with him believing he could do more than he was able, finding out he was struggling, and then try to find a semblance of footing. I feel for the kid. We often talk of how long it can be for different injuries to heal and often talk of how long it takes for players to "get their mind right."
Here we are...good luck to him. I've heard nothing that leads me to believe there's some rift.
If Virginia wants him they see the kids potential. After his freshman year, it was actually hard to believe this was the same guy. Maybe a year off will get him ready to play some defense, cause at Virginia, that's what they do.
I always thought it was a mental issue with him once he came back from the injury. "Trusting" that joint after surgery has always been an issue for any athlete. Your pride and stubbornness take over and you think you are 100% when you really aren't. You press, much like Braxton did, and you make more mistakes. You lose playing time and confidence. Good luck to Braxton at UVA.
