🏈 Brandon Kennedy to transfer (Alabama blocking certain schools.)

I think he will be far more welcomed in Athens than Tuscaloosa going forward.
You think? I'm wondering how many UGA fans will actually know the name Mo Smith in a season or two.

The AJC had a bullshit story a week or back and Mo stated he never really thought about going with Kirby...until he Mom came in one day and said Hey ...what about Georgia........ to hell with him. His personal foul against The Fighting Urbans was HUGE play in our playoff game.
A prime example of who Kirby is today. That's UGA recruiting a kid at Bama while he's AT Bama. Did they have direct contact? Mo and Kirby didn't...BUT mothers of current Georgia players were calling Mo's mom about him transferring.

Not illegal, per se, but dirty as it gets.

99% of good player you see in college athletics that transfers, has had indirect contact with other programs. I've done it for plenty of hoopers that aren't good players too... lol

1) BS. 99% is hyperbole at its finest.
2) It's apples and oranges. You're talking about an orchestrated move by a program through its players mothers versus an AAU coach with high school players. One, while it isn't against the rules, it's against the spirit of the rules--in spades. That fact you're laughing about this goes to explain how the AAU circuit is looked upon now-a-day.

Now-a-day? Been looked at that way for a decade....

And no it's not BS. Do you really think kids just decide to leave without weighing their options? This is 2018... Communication happens when someone scratches their ass let alone before a big decision.

Even Tua admits he wanted his dad to reach out to USC... And he didn't even leave. To my knowledge there's nothing in the rules about a second party reaching out anyway... And if there is, oh well.

@Tidestalker, How many times have you mentioned Chris Black--a guy who asked permission to contact?

About 20 times... Or every time I'm told Saban doesn't allow SEC to SEC transfers.

Anyway, in hoops, it's the school that gets permission to contact. Meaning after CB got his release the school would contact the UA athletic department asking permission. Maybe it's different in football? Either way I'm very comfortable believing Chris Black didn't pull Mizzu out of thin air and had it mapped out before he asked to leave.
