🏈 Brandon Kennedy to transfer (Alabama blocking certain schools.)

I would feel fine. Thanks
I'm calling bullshit. No damn way you feel that way with a Bama loss. No freakin' way.

You can call bullshit, your brother, or your momma.... Phone all the friends you'd like... The end result is that I don't give a damn where Brandon Kennedy goes.

He's a college graduate and did his part as a student athlete at Alabama. Hell I'm sure a coach or two that recruited him to Alabama is at either Auburn or UT making a living as well. Doesn't bother me at all. If they beat us and it's because of BRANDON KENNEDY you can blame our staff for not keeping such a difference maker happy at Alabama....
How the F do you keep someone happy when they're not the starter in today's youth? Go ahead and right it down and send to Nick.

If Brandon Kennedy is the difference between a loss to UT or AU, then it's the highest paid coach in CF's job to figure that out.

No. He hasn't. He's breaking the original agreement with the school.

What part of rule is lost here?

What "original agreement"? Scholarships can be renewed on a yearly basis by either side....
When he signed his scholarship papers (as you've mentioned, three times) it was done with the understanding that the rule states "you can't transfer to..."

Are you going to sit there and tell me he didn't know that? Didn't think so.

I get what he's doing.
A rule is a rule.
There is no debate here.

If the rule states that "he can't transfer to", why does Alabama then have to block those schools after the release? Is this a double-block? lol

Rules are different for transfers and grad transfers. TBH I don't even know what they are... But I know that SEC grad transfers have happened, multiple times, and I have no problem with that.

No. They haven't. It's happened one time--Mo.

Boiler plate releases. Simple.

Chris Black didn't transfer to Missouri?

David Williams didn't grad transfer from South Carolina to Arkansas?

Just off top, Terry.... No doubt there are more

And what is a boiler plate release....?

HOLD UP. You don't know the way the rules are written but critiquing said rules?

Said rules clearly have exceptions... So it doesn't sound like ANYONE know's what the rules are anymore.

You don't know the rules. What was Chris studying at Mizzou? Brandon is working on his Masters. There's no PHD course at either school that Bama doesn't offer.

So what you're saying is SEC grad transfers have happened more than 1 time.............. After saying it's only happened 1 time. Got it.

There are exceptions to the "rule". I don't know them, but I know it's happened multiple times. We can call them "Boiler Plate" exceptions if that makes you feel better.

Best case scenario. Free agency is for everyone and I can see a lot more SEC players staying in the conference.
Really if you look at those players that have been part of this process you don't see any difference makers for the most part otherwise they would be starting at their current school.

I hope Mo Smith enjoyed his Liberty Bowl swag and his last memory of the Dawg regular season was getting his azz run over by by the GT receiver on the play that won the game for the Jackets........

Memories
May be beautiful and yet
What's too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget

Just the way you described his production, he definitely burned some bridges with the fans. I think he will be far more welcomed in Athens than Tuscaloosa going forward. I'm sure Kirby and the dawg players knew that when they named him one of their permanent captains.

You think? I'm wondering how many UGA fans will actually know the name Mo Smith in a season or two.

The AJC had a bullshit story a week or back and Mo stated he never really thought about going with Kirby...until he Mom came in one day and said Hey ...what about Georgia........ to hell with him. His personal foul against The Fighting Urbans was HUGE play in our playoff game.

I have to believe as competitive as players can be that Maurice Smith knew the loyalty issues he was creating for himself later on at the Capstone. Maybe the fact that the Bama players kept him in their inner circle on Twitter and made him feel welcome at the CCG was a false realism for what lay ahead. Putting on that dawg uni and fighting his way out of Alabama is the wrong way to be remembered around here.

A prime example of who Kirby is today. That's UGA recruiting a kid at Bama while he's AT Bama. Did they have direct contact? Mo and Kirby didn't...BUT mothers of current Georgia players were calling Mo's mom about him transferring.

Not illegal, per se, but dirty as it gets.
