🏈 Brain Surgery?

Wayne, Dr Dumas is a great guy....I'm sure you'll dig him. Before I was a nurse practitioner, I repaired x-ray equipment at Brookwood for 10 years. Used to work on the radiation therapy equipment there. He is a good guy, and like you say, is a big Bama fan. The folks there at Brookwood in the cancer center (where the cyber knife is located) are top notch. Keep us posted and we'll keep the prayers going your way!!

My mom was a xray tech at the health department for years in Birmingham.

Well everything went as planned. I haven't had any of the usual side effects although I took one of the anti nausea pills just in case, well actually because Patsy, my wife, and I wanted some good BBQ for lunch and I didn't want to get sick while eating one of my favorite food groups. After that was accomplished we came on home, got our flu shot and everything is going well. I have a recheck in 6 weeks, instead of 6 months as I thought, and then we'll go from there, depending on the problems I have or lack thereof. I really appreciate all of you so much and so does Patsy. I have read her almost all of your comments and she is really appreciative of your concern. Here are a few pictures she took before they ran her out.

Wait, your feet were tied up ?
Yeah, they tied my feet together so I wouldn't move them. Gave me the option of crossing my legs or laying flat. I had to lay strapped down and head in the mask for almost 50 minutes. The actual procedure took about 45 minutes. They gave me a choice of music and I selected The Beatles 1969 thru 1971. The music played the whole time I was laying there. The robot moved around and around my head, stopping at various points and shot the radiation at the thumbnail size cavernoma located in line with the middle of my right ear but on the back of my head, right side, on the occipital lobe.

They said it's accuracy was within a ½ a millimeter, which for my generation means absolutely nothing (metric system), but apparently is pretty good. Still no nausea so all is good.

Thanks @TerryP for updating the forum yesterday after the "surgery" and for checking on me as I walked out of the treatment room. Very good timing on your part. Appreciate the text from our mutual friend as well.
