🏀 Bracketology 2020-21 season.- Selection Sunday (Bama to face Iona)

If Bama can get healthy and play with today effort and D then add getting their shots to fall then they are a team that can play with anyone. Unfortunately that has not been the case for a few weeks. Hope they get it figured out starting tonight.
Look at that bracket @bamafan4ever posted. Even with the offense at its pace now they can play with anyone there. Houston would be all about defense.

Ebbs and flows. It happens every year, with every team.

It doesn't feel that way. I chose the word "feel" purposefully. It feels like they can beat anyone or lose to anyone although the latter is probably not really true. It is just stinkers like Mizzou and Arky and the struggles against teams like MSU and Vandy that leads me to "feel" this way. Throw on top of that several games back to back like that and it just elevates the feeling and anxiety. It comes down to how comfortable do you feel in the game with regards to the potential for the team to let the game get away from them? Shooting 32% from the field just makes you uncomfortable.

Latest Joey Brackets bracket, we are 3-5 against teams in his bracket. Arky, Mizzou, Clemson, West KY, OK. Lost the last 3 Matchups. At least when we lost it’s to good teams and only one was by a significant margin. Average loss is 4.4 points if you take out the Arky defeat.

Illinois would be the only #1 seed I'd like to see in my side of the bracket. Gonzaga, Michigan, and Baylor of good ball teams. Illinois would be the best draw we could get in my mind, IF we/they made it that far.

With Jacksonville St becoming a Q3 win, Alabama has not played a single Q4 game. They’re the only team ranked in the top 40 in NET that has not.

For reference, Gonzaga has played 7 and Baylor 6. Alabama is 7th in NET and has the most Q1&Q2 wins in the country at 14.

Looking at the NET numbers yesterday I noticed we had not played a Q4 team so we have no bad losses in fact our worst loss is to WKY who is 17-6 with a NET ranking of 85. The metrics don't lie this team is deserving of their ranking. Now just take care of business today.

Have you seen Illinois Play? Their big man, Cockburn, will kill them. Bama can't guard anyone underneath the basket.
