🏈 Bowl games thread

Anyone else seeing how the Barn is throwing the kitchen sink at Winston? They are bringing tons of pressure. I want that! Iwant us to call the blitz like that more often. We used to. I remember Arenas spending a lot of time chasing QBs.

I know we're supposed to be somehow happy because the other team in the state is doing well and the SEC and all that, but I am so disgusted to see this BS street ball no huddle crap winning. Is this football, fast-break street basketball nonsense? They need a rule change to give the defense at least 10 seconds on the play clock to at least set.

PS - the best two team are apparently not playing tonight.

One could argue subbing new defensive lineman is nonsense. Depends on perspective.

You sound like folks in the 70s when the passing game became the new trend. They called it nonsense too.

Which two teams are more deserving or better than the only undefeated team, and the one-loss team that knocked off #1 and won the SECCG?

I think therein lies the problem. Who says an "unbeaten" team is better than a one, two or three loss team? Last year, how many teams with 2 or 3 loss records could have also handed the undefeated Notre Dame their own asses? After watching this years Sugar Bowl, a serious argument could be made that the Sooners could have brought game to the NCG tonight. Glad this BCS era is coming to an end. It's a dumb, dumb system.

One could argue that some people just like to argue - depending on perspective. What's your point? Where did I say anything about "subbing?" I said they need time to set.

You having a bad day?

Let me ask you something, what do you think about the two minute drill? I want to say the basis of his HUNH started is loosely based on the idea of running the two minute drill the entire game.

Its all about having the advantage. When you go HUNH, you impact the defenses ability to read and react to the play. One of the benefits of substituting defensive lineman, fresh legs. Just saying it depends on your perspective which is nonsense and which isn't. Folks that run the HUNH are making it harder on defenses to adjust.

Say what you want about HUNH, but players like and so do fans. Check out the study ESPN is going to do on the games vs the attendance/tv viewers...its going to have an impact on the game at some point in time. And there are there those who don't like the current HUNH, restating what I said earlier, it depends on your perspective.

As I'm sure you are aware, the game has changed through the years.

I'm not saying this to argue...believe me.

Not disagreeing with you there, but it's hard to argue against an undefeated being overlooked for a one loss team. Even if that team hasn't had the toughest schedule. This is why I'm looking forward to the playoffs!

I think Michigan State or Stanford could have beasted in the game as well.
