📝 Bobby Brown to announce Friday morning (UPDATED: Brown to A&M)

We don't need him. He's too old and I blame him for Whitney's demise.

Bobby Brown, four-star defensive tackle from Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, will announce his decision on Friday. He was scheduled to announce a week from today. He has plans to take an official visit to Texas A&M this weekend.

Obviously, the visit to College Station will go on as planned if he commits to the Aggies. He may cancel the trip if he announces elsewhere.

Here is everything I’ve heard as of Thursday afternoon.

Bama- Yes, he just came back from his official visit. Alabama thought the visit could not have gone any better. Brown understands he is the No. 1 priority for Alabama. Alabama has remained in very close contact. However, when Brown announced the decision to go ahead with a commitment on Friday it was news to Alabama. He has yet to tell Alabama his intentions. So it wasn’t like he contacted Alabama to tell them he is set to announce on Friday. Thus, creating a little cause for concern. Alabama is not sure what he will do and suddenly nervous of missing on its top DL target.

Texas A&M- The Aggies have felt pretty good all along with Brown. I’ve talked to two different sources on the A&M side today. One told me they think Brown chooses A&M, and the other thinks Alabama. A few A&M reporters plan to go to his school tomorrow. A&M apparently does not know what Brown will do.

Oklahoma- The Sooners is the one I’ve considered the dark horse. Alabama and Texas A&M have long been considered the top two. Most of the social media posts on Brown’s twitter account are Oklahoma related. Maybe it’s to throw people off, but I think he has very high interest and he could easily choose the Sooners on Friday. At this time, he has not given any indication to the Oklahoma staff. He spoke with Oklahoma on Wednesday night just like he spoke with Alabama and A&M. He has not talked to any of those schools today from what I’ve learned.

Texas- There are some who think Texas is a major contender. I just can’t see it. It will surprise me if he chooses the Longhorns over one of the other three schools mentioned above.

That’s all I can really share right now. It’s all I know. Some think Brown wants to stay closer to home. Maybe he realized it on the trip to Alabama. Maybe that’s why he decided to move his commitment date. Maybe he decided Alabama is where he wants to go. We will all know tomorrow.

I’m sorry I wish I could give you all a better idea of what he will do tomorrow. This is just everything there is to know. I’ll post more whenever I learn of anything new.
